Monetary donations will be used primarily toward larger medical, mobility, and rehabilitation needs that are difficult to cover through individual item gifts.
Currently the Sisters are without an adequate number of wheelchairs, walkers, and critical support and monitoring devices. The facility desperately needs a Hoyer (patient) or ceiling lift, and an electric dryer is hoped for as the few caretakers rely solely on line drying for heavy amounts of laundry — mostly bed linens — on a daily basis while balancing direct care needs of the Sisters.
Current needs include major equipment that can improve daily health monitoring, assist caregivers, and help the Sisters move with greater safety and dignity.
Specialized health-monitoring devices, including blood pressure monitors, along with accessible scales for routine health assessment.
Multifunctional, motorized, and orthopedic wheelchairs, as well as resident lifters that support safer movement and caregiving.
Rehabilitation and physical therapy equipment that can help the Sisters preserve strength, comfort, and mobility.
