Companionship
Conversation, reading, music, prayer, and simple shared activities—always shaped by what the Sisters welcome.

A proposed volunteer support program
An early-stage idea for offering companionship, practical help, and mission support to elderly and retired Sisters in Nkokonjeru.
Early development This concept would move forward only with the Sisters’ guidance and approval.
The heart of the project
For decades, the Little Sisters of St. Francis have served others through education, healthcare, social work, faith, and community life.
This proposed program explores a simple question: could approved visitors come alongside elderly and retired Sisters with presence, practical assistance, and financial support—without disrupting the life and work of the congregation?

Possible ways to support
Activities would be reviewed in advance and chosen according to the Sisters’ needs, comfort, and daily rhythms.
Conversation, reading, music, prayer, and simple shared activities—always shaped by what the Sisters welcome.
Thoughtful help with approved daily activities, supplies, organization, and light service projects.
A transparent way for future visitors and supporters to contribute to priorities identified by the Sisters.

A guiding principle
“Come to listen. Come to learn. Come to serve gently.”
Draft language for the proposed program
A low-burden starting model
If approved, a first version could welcome small groups for daytime service while visitors arrange their own travel, lodging, meals, and transportation.

Every Sister carries a story
The public site could eventually share approved stories about lives of teaching, healing, prayer, leadership, and service—with permission and dignity at every step.
